Long Weekend in Gualala, CA

We took a couple of days off of work for Cheryl's birthday and spent a long weekend at the
coastal town of Gualala, CA. It's about a 3 1/2 hour
drive up the coast north of San Francisco. It's a great little town with excellent
coastal vistas. We rented a house that was situated right on a cove - the sound of pounding
surf was constant from our private beach.
The weather was great, very sunny and not too cool. We relaxed, went for long walks along the ocean, and
flew our kite on the beach.
This was the view from one of the decks on the house.
Standing in the dining room, looking down into the living room and outside.
Cheryl and Pea on the upstairs porch, off of our bedroom.
View of the house from down on the beach.
John is really wishing he was at work right now.
Cheryl's birthday morning - St. Patrick's Day, she gets to partake in the DiCosola tradition of green Farina!
John baked a birthday cake (dark chocolate with dark chocolate icing) for Cheryl and lit 32 candles.
A jaunt to Gualala Point beach - it was windy!
