Pea's Ultrasound Page

Updated: 01/28/01
Probably the most amazing pictures you could ever see are of a developing baby. Even when Cheryl
was not even 8 full weeks along we could see the heart beating.
We had our "major" ultrasound on 1/26/01 and everything is just fine. It was a very fun experience
being able to watch Pea move around. The baby is average in everything (head size, abdomen
circumference, etc.) We did not find out the sex of the baby and won't until the birth. He/she was
wide awake during the ultrasound and moving all around.
Week 21, 1/26/2001.
He/she is about 10 inches from head to feet now. We are debating which one of our noses and foreheads we think
that he/she has. We'll just have to wait and see.
Week 21, 1/26/2001.
Here is the right arm and hand.
Week 21, 1/26/2001.
Looks pretty strong for only developing for 21 weeks.
Week 21, 1/26/2001.
The technician counted the toes - there are definitely five. You can see the big toe separate from the others
on the left.
Week 11, 11/16/2000.
He/she is on the left side and is much bigger - 37 mm. You can even see his hand. He was
jumping all around when we saw him. We think he'll be a kicker in a couple of months.
Week 8, 10/30/2000.
He/she is only 11 mm long - look at the right side of the big dark area - the markers
are used to measure. The bright dot in the center of the baby (actually embryo at this point)
is his heart. The round thing on the left is the yolk sac which Pea eats from until the placenta is ready.
